The Promise to Abraham

The biblical figure of Abraham holds a significant role in God's plan for humanity, known as the father of faith.  Through Abraham, God established a covenant that transcends physical boundaries and focuses on a spiritual inheritance available to all believers.  The apostle Paul expands on this, highlighting that faith is the key to becoming heirs of the promise given to Abraham, irrespective of physical lineage.  In Galatians 3:29, it says, " And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's offspring, heirs according to promise."  This means that anyone can partake in the blessings and promises through faith in Christ, who is the ultimate fulfillment of the promise to Abraham. Paul emphasizes that Christ is the singular seed mentioned in the promise, embodying the ultimate fulfillment of God's plan.  Through Christ, a new spiritual nation is formed, where Jews and Gentiles are reconciled and united in one body. This unity in Christ transcends physical boundar...

Our faith is not ours…

He is our Grace, He is our Faith.  Free will is a lie.   “…. Looking to Jesus, THE FOUNDER AND PERFECTER OF OUR FAITH, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2 Jesus is the Founder and Perfecter of our Faith, not solely the Perfecter but the Founder, therefore, let’s ponder what it is for Jesus to be the Founder of our Faith? FOUNDER: n. (faith) establishes, (faith) mounter n. The one who begins (faith); the one who writes (faith), the one from whom all (faith) comes. Jesus lays the groundwork, actually, Jesus IS the groundwork, He establishes and forms our faith, initiates and originates Faith. He has complete domination over our level of faith. The Truth of His sovereignty is obvious; we do not establish ourselves, we cannot establish ourselves, and we are not worthy to establish ourselves in Faith, if we claim we have, we lie. We cannot control our faith, only God...

What is Truth?

First and foremost, the Truth is a Person and His name is Jesus Christ (Yeshuah Ha’Machiach). “I Am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. JOHN 14:6 And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.   1 JOHN 5:20 The truth of God's word is unchanging and pure, according to Jesus. He declares in John 10 that it cannot be broken, making it an inviolable truth. This means that it is a conviction that cannot be altered or contradicted.  We see evidence of this in the Scriptures when Jesus speaks to the Father, emphasizing the truth of His word. As believers, we can have certainty in the truth of God's word, knowing that it is a reliable and steadfast foundation that we can build our lives upon.  We must also remember that the truth of God's word is not simply a matter of inte...

Free Will Lies

Jesus Christ - the Founder and Perfector of Faith One of the central tenets of Christian faith is the belief in Jesus Christ as the founder and perfecter of faith.  He is seen as the ultimate source of salvation and the one who initiates and sustains individuals' connection with the divine.  Through his life, death, and resurrection, Jesus paved the way for humanity to have a relationship with God. The Belief that Faith Springs from the Divine Power of Jesus Christ, Not Human Volition According to Scripture, faith is not something that arises from human volition or effort.  Faith is a result of the divine power of Jesus Christ.  It is through his grace and the work of the Holy Spirit that individuals are able to believe and have faith in God. C. God's Sovereignty in Initiating and Nurturing Individuals' Faith Central to the concept of divine sovereignty is the understanding that God has the ultimate authority and control over all things, including human faith. It is ...

The Convergence of Faith and Perception: A Spiritual Voyage

As I sit in stillness, time seems to warp around me. An hour slips by, marked only by the relentless ticking of the clock. The world outside buzzes with artificial communications, a stark contrast to the quiet introspection within. Learned to cease questioning the nature of reality, to accept the enigma that it is.  Our human minds, while capable of profound thought, often struggle to fully comprehend the vast expanse of reality. We are privy to fleeting glimpses of divine knowledge, yet translating these spiritual revelations into human language feels akin to mocking the Holy Spirit - an act of blasphemy.  However, we can draw upon the wisdom of parables, much like the Messiah did. Our minds, akin to processors, receive and interpret information from the world around us. The nature of this information, whether filtered or raw, depends largely on our processing capabilities.  Raw information, unfiltered and pure, is challenging to translate into human understanding. It i...

Unveiling the Depths of Truth in Christian Theology

In the realm of Christianity, the concept of "Truth" holds a profound significance, intricately intertwined with the nature and teachings of Jesus Christ. Christians view Jesus as the embodiment of the Word of God, and thus, understanding the true essence of Jesus becomes synonymous with comprehending an objective and unchanging reality. Delving into the philosophy of truth within a Christian framework reveals several nuanced points that shed light on the multifaceted nature of this concept. The Nature of Objective Truth: Beyond Perspectives and Interpretations Objective truth, by its very definition, stands independent of individual perspectives, emotions, or interpretations. Within the Christian faith, Jesus is considered the epitome of Truth. Therefore, one can argue that gaining a comprehensive understanding of Jesus in His entirety is akin to grasping an objective and immutable reality. As Christians strive to connect with Jesus and emulate His teachings, they embark on ...
